Watch Guard is one of the best ways to protect your identification. One of the biggest issues in today’s world is identity theft. It is especially a problem for the senior citizens. As such most governments have set up measures to protect their citizens from this problem. This is where companies such as the ID Watch Guard come in. Signing up for their services is one of the best things one can ever do. Perhaps the best thing about this system is that members are allowed to add their spouse and even their dependants when they are signing up.

Should you sign up?

The question of whether you should sign up can only be answered when you have tried out their services. For this particular reason, the company offers you a fifteen day trial of their product. This will allow you enough time to decide whether the services are worth the time and money or not. The trial is however not free but is not costly either. You will pay $3.95 for the fifteen-day trial period. If you are satisfied, then you can go ahead and continue with the product.

What the company will do is monitor every single detail about their members over a large number of databases. They will keep a close check on the member’s name, date of birth, Social Security number as well as billing information across those databases. This ensures that you get the best of services that they can possibly offer.

On top of that, they will provide $1 million insurance attorneys in the event of identity theft requiring legal assistance. There is so much more that they have to offer. This is why ID Watch Guard is a highly reputed company with an A-rating from the Better Business Bureau with less than twelve complaints over the past three years. This of course translates to less than five complaints per year. This might make you want to sign up. But quite unfortunately everything has its flaws and ID Watch Guard is not an exception.

Before you decide

The trial period might not be adequate to allow you to check out what they have on offer. There are some hidden facts about the company and its services. If you are keen enough when you visit their homepage, prospective customers are unable to get quality information about any of the products that they have to offer or anything about the company. This subtracts some points from the institution.

If you really want to find out more about the company and/or their services, the only way you can do so is by dropping them a phone call. The phone numbers might not be of any help to you if you are not a registered member. Sadly, even when you are a member, you may have to wait for what seems to be an eternity (10 minutes) to speak to a real person. It is not that their services are bad, but every company has to provide an option to its potential customers to check out the products and their features without having to sign up.

The Bottom Line

The decision of whether to sign up or not rests solely on your judgment of the company. In general, apart from the fact that prospective clients have to go through a host of procedures to find information about products, everything else about ID Watch Guard seems to be just fine. The prices are also quite fine, ($24.95) but really is this price worth the hassle of trying to find information about the company?
